Brazil and Argentina

Empanadas Place
3811 Sawtelle Blvd, Culver City (310) 391-0888
Argentine empanadas with exotic fillings! A tremendous little spot on Sawtelle at Venice. Try the Amazonian one.

Cafe Brazil
10831 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, Culver City 310 837-8957
Brazilians sure love grilled meat. Give me the Saturday feijoada, the national dish of pork and black bean stew, even if it is low on offal.

Grand Casino
3826 Main Street, Culver City 310.202.6969
A nice little Argentine bakery with el cheapo empanadas, only $1.85. Chicken is best, also grab some alfajores/small caramel filled cookies.

International Cafe in a strip Mall on the East side of Overland near Palms Blvd is a Brazilian cafe serving all kinds of local snacks plus grilled steaks - sandwiches good - friendly service but they close early.

empanadas place... ah, not so good. well, say not so authentic, since they are fried. they do, however, have very good alfajores maizenas. there is a place on the venice boardwalk that has real, baked empanadas, and you can take them home frozen.

Foodzilla, is that another restaurant or is your comment on one of these two. If the later, what's the exact name of the place?
